This Administrative Coordinator position is for a vacancy located in our Denham Springs Behavioral Clinic in Denham Springs, Louisiana. Please see the Examples of Work below for additional information for this position.
This position may be filled as a Probational Appointment or Job Appointment . Applicants may be asked to serve a probationary period of not less than 6 months and not more than 24 months.
Salary may be negotiable depending on the chosen applicant’s level of experience. Below is a list of the pay range(s) for the position(s):
- Administrative Coordinator 3: $13.11/hour minimum - $23.59/hour maximum

Function of Work:
To perform a wide variety of clerical duties that requires independent judgment to accomplish in support of the staff members and/or operations of an organizational unit or program.
Some discretion is required in the performance of these duties. Duties begin to expand in scope and complexity, and develop into departmental-program duties.
Level of Work:
General from higher-level clerical and/or supervisory personnel.
May supervise 1-2 lower-level personnel.
Location of Work:
May be used by all state agencies.
Differs from Administrative Coordinator 2 by the presence of responsibility for clerical duties that involve greater scope and complexity, including initial program duties.
Differs from Administrative Coordinator 4 by the absence of paraprofessional duties that involve a higher degree of specialization, complexity, and/or independent judgment.
This position is part of the front-office staff and provides clerical support to the Denham Springs Behavioral Health Clinic and its employees. This support may include a variety of clerical duties, such as: answering multi-line telephones, routing phone calls to the appropriate staff or taking detailed messages, greeting clients, notifying staff of client arrivals, conducting check-in and check-out procedures for clients, verifying insurance coverage, contacting clients with appointment reminders, and processing faxes received. Additionally, this position may also enter information into the electronic health record (EHR), as well as maintain a supply of the necessary packets for both clients with scheduled appointments and walk-ins.
